Through their research and practice, David Csinos and Joyce Bellous have identified four spiritual avenues which help us come to know and experience God:

• the path of the intellect (word)
• the way of the emotions (emotions)
• the journey of mystery (symbol)
• the road to justice (action)

Youth and children’s leaders who wish to nurture the spirituality of each individual may want to take into account the different spiritual styles through which they can come to know and experience God in real, life-changing ways.
