Going for Growth calls the Church to work towards every child and young person having a life-enhancing encounter with the Christian faith and the person of Jesus Christ. But what is the Christian faith all about? 

• Faith is the gift of God to his people
• Today we are trusting God for their growth in faith.
• In baptism , these children/young people begin their journey in faith.

 These phrases from the baptism service remind us that faith is not static - it grows and develops. Family, friends and the church community all have a part to play in helping a child or young person grow in faith by:

• example - living out our own faith
• walking alongside - listening and learning with children and young people
• caring - helping them take their place in worship
