Circles of Impact

7th June 2019

Stoneleigh Park

Death touches communities – family groups, friendship groups, colleagues, neighbours and strangers. The impact is not just for a week or two, but may continue over months, years, generations. This conference, offered over two days, draws on the expertise and experience of a wide-range of practitioners (to help us think about how churches are there for those who are affected by a death, whether recent or long ago.

The Conference runs over two days - 7th & 8th June.

Speakers include:

  • Tim Alban Jones - speaking about the impact on family, community and church when schoolgirls Holly and Jessica went missing in Soham
  • Ben Green - Diocesan Youth Officer, Blackburn who was involved in work with schools following the Manchester Arena bombings
  • Dorothy Moore Brooks - Senior Chaplain at Great Ormond Street Hospital, exploring how the impact of a death has far-reaching consequences.
  • Sandra Millar is Head of Life Events for the Church of England and will talk about the changing culture around death, funerals and bereavement.
